There has been a debate about Wikia integrating a phpbb3 based forum with Mediawiki However as it appears they are not planning on doing so I have created a phpBB3 forum hosted with a friend of mines Hosting service.
It is for General social discussion, NOT for discussion about the wiki itself. I believe it would be rather clunky to attempt to discuss topics on Mediawiki however if someone disagrees please tell me. WillSWC 05:47, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

- Hi, that sounds like something we could do. With Social based wikis you want as many people as possible working on it so I'd recommend starting here as it would be better than starting from scratch. Can you provide a description of what you wanted your wiki to do. Will was the one who wanted to start a forum here. - Already been done at http://inside.wikia.com/forum/, it does have a few bugs to work out. Wikia staff has said that if a Wikia wiki community wants a phpBB forum with support for MediaWiki-syntax (like the one at Inside Wikia) they will install it for you. - the Forum for talking about anything is Forum:Lounge. I'm thinking of adding some new ones. Something like group requests so you can suggest groups and see who else wants to join. an Introduction Forum so new users can introduce themselves. But if you have other more specific suggestions list them here and we can see if they're workable.
- Once the Inside Wikia Forum system is more polished I'd be all for getting it set up here.
